We've had the experience, several times, when a clerk has given us un-redacted files, or files they shouldn't be releasing. We've chalked that up to their being too busy, although other investigators have told us they've had similar experiences.Colleenhttp://www.colleencollinsbooks.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30975557.post-36215110930337737232014-07-20T20:58:04.880-07:002014-07-20T20:58:04.880-07:00Public records used to be much more public and mor...Public records used to be much more public and more extensive. When I worked for a PI in the late 1960's, I could find information that is considered private today. It's encouraging that things like (some) court proceedings, and business events like incorporation and bankruptcies are still discoverable. Also refreshing to learn that slipping the clerk a twenty isn't how its done.Steve Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15324426655503723159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30975557.post-52274397819720849412014-07-17T06:53:34.020-07:002014-07-17T06:53:34.020-07:00Interesting story; I can see that this would be a ...Interesting story; I can see that this would be a very useful research book for authorsCathy Perkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00651278611674981427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30975557.post-81936088155295362452014-07-17T05:50:30.406-07:002014-07-17T05:50:30.406-07:00Appreciate the thumbs up for SECRETS, Catherine!Appreciate the thumbs up for SECRETS, Catherine!Colleenhttp://www.colleencollinsbooks.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30975557.post-71267705788658174192014-07-17T05:38:10.143-07:002014-07-17T05:38:10.143-07:00I enjoyed Secrets of a Real Life Female Private Ey...I enjoyed Secrets of a Real Life Female Private Eye. As I cut back words in this excerpt, an additional piece of this story is that she had successfully pulled off the common-law marriage status with another ex-boyfriend.
